Running Lesson #1 : Hydrate!

I understand much better than this. I am much better than this, however today I was absolutely dehydrated on my run. At very first I felt like I was hungry, then I realized I was THIRSTY. incredibly thirsty. Like, I want to high jack someone’s garden hose thirsty.

I ended up cutting my run short as well as doing 9 miles with walk breaks. I was meant to do 10 today as well as 10 tomorrow. I have to break up my long run in two parts this weekend considering that we’re going on a road trip tomorrow morning as well as my long runs take 3 hours at this point!

So, I assumption it’s back to the fundamentals with a tip that I requirement to drink at least 3 full bottles of water per day. This was never a issue before, however I believe the chillier temps as well as bigger obsession with seltzer have been hurting my water consumption. My water bottle holds 48 oz. I am going to make sure to fill it up as well as drink everything 3 times a day.

Breakfast was a lot of different things. When I got house I chugged a ton of water as well as ate a bowl of cereal. After a shower I made a yogurt bowl as well as had half a piece of toast with PB. I don’t understand if it was the dehydration speaking or what, however I just kept eating!
